Anyway, Jackson and my cousin's baby girl, Emma, got to dig through their Easter baskets, then we had an egg hunt and finally we all sat down to a delicious steak dinner! I think everyone had a really good time and went home completely stuffed and with happy hearts. You can't ask for much more.
Here are a few photos courtesy of my iPhone. I don't have many of all of us, although I promise we were there! Ha! My sister-in-law was sweet enough to take a ton of photos and I'll share those once I have them. :)
This is J decorating eggs on Good Friday .... I could just eat him up. I opted for Elmo and Cars stickers instead of dying eggs this year .... a wild toddler and food coloring don't mix. ;)
He's as ornery as he is sweet! We had such a great day.
The mini mimosa bar. And don't fret, there was far more champagne than these two little bottles. ;)
Side note: I currently have more tulips, ranunculas and hydrangeas in my house than I know what to do with.
And I love it. I need a second job to support my fresh flowers addiction.
I'm sure the guys loved the glittered golden eggs. ;)
And this - just because it's ridiculous.
Don't ask me how I didn't end up with one photo of us as a family or any of us together (I'm sure my sister-in-law got some with her good camera - or so I hope!). What I did luck out with (insert complete sarcasm) is this gem of a photo taken unexpectedly by my brother with his phone. Nothing says "Happy Easter" quite like this photo. ;)
And the little nugget himself, Winston. I think he had as much fun playing as Jackson + Emma ---- all three of them were WORN OUT by the end of the night!
Cute baskets, sweet minis, egg hunts and decorated tables are all kinds of fun, but the real reason we celebrate is this....................................................
If you haven't heard the song Amazing Love before, you must!
HOPE YOU AND YOURS HAD A WONDERFUL EASTER!
