Jackson's Gray Striped Nursery with Orange Accents

Here it is!  Our little guy's room - ready and waiting for him to show up any day now!

We hope he loves it just as much as we do....his daddy and I sure had fun getting it ready for him.  Before we even knew we were having a boy, I'd looked at a ton of great sites for nursery inspiration and had ideas picked out for either a boy's or girl's room [isn't it crazy in a way, to think of how minimal our own nurseries likely were "back in the day" and how overboard we want to go for our precious babies on the way now?!  Times have changed!  Anyway, this nursery, featured on Project Nursery was a big inspiration and a starting place for the route I wanted to go!  I added a lot of fun pieces, custom built-ins and pops of color and made it my own!  The hubs and I have spent a lot of hours in there over the past 9 months [some of it working on the room, obviously, but most of it just sitting in there staring at every thing in amazement thinking "OUR baby boy will sleep in this crib....soon!" or "OUR baby boy will be rocked to sleep in this rocker a thousand times over"]. I'll never forgot when we got the rocker/glider home and my sweet husband asked me to come in there and sit on his lap so he could rock both of his babes!  Before I get all crazy emotional and sentimental [I'm 9 months preggo - this happens easily!], I'll leave you with this fun quote and some not-at-all-professional photos of our mini's room!  Enjoy! :)

**ROOM DETAILS** 

Crib -  Bratt Decor "Dick" Crib [great name for a crib, eh?!]  As luck would have it, I found this crib on Craigslist for less than 1/2 the price and bought it from a super sweet family the same day!

Bedding - Serena & Lily "Ben" Crib Bedding

Dresser - Ikea "Hemnes" 8-drawer dresser in white (note - it's an off white)

Console Table with Baskets & Orange Storage Boxes - Ikea "Hemnes" sofa table in white with these handwoven baskets and these orange storage boxes.

Elephant and giraffe orange prints - custom, from A Vintage Poster [I highly recommend this store!]

Abacus - found here, also from CB2 [probably my very favorite thing in the room....until the mini arrives that is!].

White rocking chair / glider - Best Chairs Trype Upholstered Swiverl Glider / Recliner

Curtains - Ikea - hubby's going to have to help w/ this one.  The tag on the curtains is way high up there and I'm far to big to be climbing on anything!  Ha!

**PAINT DETAILS**

BEDROOM----

White Stripe:  custom, mixed in Benjamin Moore Aura Collection [and by custom I mean that I found a white I liked from one of our 27 trips to Home Depot or Lowes and didn't keep the name of it, so I had the paint matched at Benjamin Moore]  

Gray Stripe:  Gray Owl, Benjamin Moore Aura Collection


Stripe Width:  12.5" [I found several great articles online about "how to paint the perfect striped walls"].  Cason taped off everything and his painters painted.  We love the final look.

CLOSET---- (slightly darker gray than in the room)
