a little bit of love {for the home}

Hi, friends.

Last week I shared some fun Valentine's Day finds for the little men in your life.  Today, I thought I'd share a few photos of the {love}ly Valentine's decor I've added to our home. I tried to keep it minimal, classy [can there be such a thing.... classy Valentine's decor?] and fun.  As I'm sure you've caught on by now, I *love* holidays and like to make them extra special.  Obviously, Valentine's Day is no exception [even though it's an over-commercialized day that the hubby and I don't really make a big deal of].  It's all things pink + red + gold + glitter, so SIGN ME UP.

Here you go....it all just makes me smile.
[please excuse the less-than-stellar iphone photos!]
I love that it'll work for spring as well!
A close-up so you can see the color & glitterrrrrrr.
The "swoon" banner, which makes me smile every time I walk past it, was purchased here.
I really, really  love this beauty.  It may stay up year-round.
Obviously, my husband is thrilled.
Our chalkboard got a little make-over, too.
Who else LOVES cupcakes?
Like has driven 30 minutes into "town" to get your favorite strawberry cupcake in the world
on a random weeknight?  Not this girl.  Never.
Sorry, I got distracted at "cupcake"..... back to the chalkboard ----it's just a print, not a real chalk drawing this time around.  I got lazy and quickly attempted a design in photoshop yesterday, called it good enough and had it printed [for cheap] at my local printer.  It'll do for now unless I break down and do a real chalk design that I love.  We'll see.
If you are a fellow cupcake addict like me, feel free to save this file and print at your little heart's content. :)
There you have it - our little casa bedazzled in some love-day goodness.  Did you dress up your home just a little for V-day?  Or better yet, do you plan to [guess I jumped the gun seeing as how it's still January!].

Happy Wednesday, lovelies.

I love the Swoon banner! How adorable! I love all the home love!

Sidenote - are your table/chairs from World Market. And if so, do you recommend the chairs? We've been looking at them for head chairs for our table...

Darrrrrrciiiiii.... you are TOO GOOD. Can you just start buying two of everything and sending one to me too? You can send me a monthly bill. I am coveting all your cuteness. Love it, love it!

... and now I want a cupcake.

Love everything! Did you have your print done at Staples (I think they call it an architect print)? I saw the idea on Pinterest, but haven't tried it. Planning a first birthday and my handwriting is terrible

Loving all your Love Day goodies! I was planning on having a chalkbaord printed for my little guys first bday too! That banner is to die for, with two boys in the house I feel like I miss out on all the girlie goodness and I need to change that ASAP! (Sidenote-since you're local, do you have a fav family photographer you all use? ) thanks friend!

Everything looks great! How is it you make your chalkboard with print outs? I always wondered how you made your chalkboard look professionally done. This is the only way I would ever consider getting one because I am a perfectionist, but it sounds like an easy way to get that result.

The sun’s ultraviolet rays are most damaging between 10am and 2pm. Even under overcast skies, we should protect our eyes, as the rays of the sun do pass through clouds. And when under a shade, we should still wear sunglasses, because UV rays are reflected by sand and water.
